What we are learning?
Dear
Parents,
We
hope you are having a beautiful week. We are excited to welcome all students to
our new school year 2017-2018. This month our theme is “My School and I”. This
coming week children will experience and explore the school, our school routine
and classroom. It will be a week of adaptation and adjustment. Children will
also learn about our classroom rules and their responsibilities.
We
have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue
strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills
so children can continue learning through fun experiences they share with the
classmates and that will encourage respect and harmony towards one another.
Thank
you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope
you have a great weekend.
Holidays & Upcoming Events

- Bring recycled boxes and small plastic bottles if you have them at home.
Friendly
Reminders
- Remember your child to wash his/her hands when entering the classroom and before leaving the school. This is the best way to prevent illnesses.
- Make sure to bring your child on time so he/she can participate in circle time. This activity starts at 8:45am and will stimulate and strengthen skills in all areas.
- Read your child’s journal, blogs and Friday Newsletter. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any comment or any question about your child’s development or any notes/comments made in your child’s journal.
- Avoid bringing your child with items that can cause distraction such as toys, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc. This is needed to help him/her concentrate in the scheduled activities at school.
- Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
- Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.
- Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.
- Make sure to have enough pull-ups or diapers in the cubby for the day, if your child has not been potty-trained yet.
- Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and drop it in the kitchen. Please keep in mind we are a nut free environment.
- Take home the homework blue folder in your child’s cubby and take one or 2 paper sheets from the container that are next to the entrance of the classroom. Homework should be returned by Tuesday and do not forget to bring the homework folder back on Monday.
- Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

CANCION
DE LOS VALORES, BUENOS MODALES
Esta canción especial
Lindas palabras te enseñara
Por siempre tú las repetirás
Aquí en Sff!
Buenos días, muchas gracias
Mucho gusto, por favor
Estas son palabras mágicas
Que por siempre te harán mejor
Buenos días, muchas gracias
Se amable y de buen corazón
Saludando a tu vecino y ayudando con mucho amor
Poems
Llego la hora de despertar
Para ir a mi colegio
“Sff!”
Allí tengo amigos
Y puedo jugar
Aprendo canciones
Y mil cosas más.
Riddles
A veces soy grueso
A veces delgado
De muchos colores pinto
Cuando me coges con la mano.
Las crayolas
Traz traz corto papeles
Traz traz corto cartón
Traz traz
Creo muchas cosas
Con tu imaginación
La tijera
Tongue
Twisters
Teresa trajo tizas hechas trizas
Hechas trizas trajo Teresa Tizas
